{"103591":{"#nid":"103591","#data":{"type":"news","title":"LEAD Program Announces Minor in Leadership Studies","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EWes Wynens, PhD\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nDirector of Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Program\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EStarting in the fall semester of 2011, students will have an exciting new opportunity to pursue a minor in Leadership Studies. The minor is designed to complement a variety of Georgia Tech degree programs and will give students practical, real-world experience in leadership and leadership development - a key skill for thriving in the 21st century. \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EDesigned for students entering their second year, the minor in Leadership Studies will provide students with an in-depth knowledge of leadership theory, skills, experience, and application through a rigorous program of study that is multi-disciplinary in nature. Initially, the minor will be comprised of two tracks: one in public policy and one in management. In the fall of 2012, a third track in international leadership will be offered. In order for students to enroll in this minor, they must have at least 30 credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater, complete the application process and be accepted into the leadership studies minor. Once accepted, students will be prescribed a 15 credit hour course of study specific to leadership studies. This is in addition to satisfying the credit hour requirements for a bachelor\u0027s degree in their declared major.
