  <title><![CDATA[Success Programs Helps Students Meet Goals]]></title>

<p>Brought to you by the Office of Success Programs, the MINUS (Mentoring Initiative for New Undergraduate Students) Cohort is a comprehensive academic support program for first-year students who are not meeting their academic expectations. The MINUS Cohort program seeks to provide members personalized attention and customized success plans. Cohort members also gain access to additional academic support services including skills workshops, tutoring, Academic Coaching, and PLUS (Peer Led Undergraduate Study) sessions. In addition, participating students will benefit from dedicated space for study hours with access to tutors; customized individual Academic Coaching sessions; and a personalized academic success plan and success skills portfolio.
</p>
<p>Students must meet the following eligibility:<br />
* Cumulative Georgia Tech G.P.A. of 2.2 or lower<br />
* First enrolled at Georgia Tech in Summer 2010 or Fall 2010<br />
* Enrolled at Georgia Tech for Spring 2011<br />
* Must be available on Thursdays from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. for cohort meetings
</p>
<p>Students must be willing to make the following commitments:<br />
* Maximum number of cohort members is 25 (filled on a first-come first-served basis)<br />
* Attend bi-weekly Academic Coaching meetings<br />
* Attend bi-weekly success skills workshops<br />
* Actively attend and participate in MINUS Study Groups<br />
* Complete all associated cohort paperwork
</p>
<p>Registration is now open and will remain open until all spaces are filled. There will be a mandatory interest meeting on Tuesday, January 11 in Skiles 168 from 11 a.m. - noon. Regular cohort meetings will take place on Thursdays from 11 a.m. - noon.
