Each semester, the G.I.T. FIT program at the Campus Recreation Center (CRC) hosts Georgia Tech’s Biggest Loser Program. With the largest participation rate on record for the program, this semester’s challenge was a huge success.

After a long journey, which included keeping a food log and engaging in challenging yet fun workouts, the Georgia Tech Biggest Loser contestants have finally completed their competition.

During the program, a total of 311 pounds were lost among the participants! The highest percent of weight loss went to the Gold Team with an average of 9 percent weight lost per person. The Gold Team also won the final competition as they completed the Pi Mile, climbed 36 feet, swam ¼ mile, and biked six miles in 64 minutes and 16 seconds! Congratulations Gold Team!

For keeping nutrition logs, having good attendance, and attending G.I.T. FIT classes throughout the program, Kim Bell was the point total winner with a score of 156.
