These incredible elective opportunities provide a great way for new students to meet and bond with other incoming students, increase their social network, reflect on the upcoming journey, and spend quality time in the great outdoors - all before coming to Tech\u00e2\u0080\u0099s campus! \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EAll trips are led by Georgia Tech professional staff as well as professional guides during the more technical activities. This is a great opportunity for incoming Tech students to make new friends all while camping under the stars and exploring the big AK!\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EStudents will explore the Alaskan wilderness while backpacking, fishing for dinner, climbing glaciers and hopefully spotting some moose and bears. It is a challenging and once-in-a-lifetime experience for students, who learn much more about themselves and others. \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe staff and guides enhance the adventure experience by teaching the following: outdoor ethics, using maps and compasses, Alaska history, culture, flora, fauna and more.
