She is responsible for all\naspects of marketing strategy and brand management, including advertising and\ncommunications, sports marketing, and retail marketing. Established in 1908,\nConverse is a wholly owned subsidiary of NIKE, Inc. Known for such legendary\nclassics as the Chuck Taylor\u00ae All Star\u00ae and the Jack Purcell\u00ae, Converse has\nbecome a truly iconic youth-culture brand.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\n\n\u003Cp\u003EJoy joined Converse from the\nCoca-Cola Company where she was based most recently in Zurich, Switzerland as\nGlobal Marketing Director in the Company\u2019s joint venture with Nestl\u00e9. She\njoined Coke after climbing the ranks of brand management at Johnson \u0026amp;\nJohnson. At J \u0026amp; J she championed expansion opportunities for Johnson\u2019s\nBaby\u00ae in emerging markets and repositioned the previously niche K-Y\u00ae Brand for\nmainstream growth. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003EAbout the Impact Speaker Series\u003C\/em\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\u003Cp\u003ESince 2002, the IMPACT Speaker Series has brought highly successful business\nleaders from a variety of industries to campus to share their experiences and\ngive advice to students and other entrepreneurs on topics ranging from\n\u0022building a venture around intellectual capital\u0022 to \u0022successful\nentrepreneurship in large organizations\u0022 and \u0022socially responsible\nleadership\u0022. The weekly series provides Georgia Tech students, alumni and\nthe Atlanta business community an opportunity to network and learn from\nsuccessful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and notable business and\nnon-profit leaders.
