Prior, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Sahlgrenska Academy of Medicine in Gothenburg, Sweden. Her primary research interests are in architectural acoustics, noise control, building systems engineering, and human response to the built environment. She is the founder of a multi-disciplinary collaborative research group, the \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.acousticsresearch.org\u0022\u003EHealthcare Acoustics Research Team (HART),\u003C\/a\u003E which aims to advance hospital soundscapes through evidence-based-design.
