124541 event 1334680151 1475891925 <![CDATA[Faculty Event: Fulbright Ambassador 4/19/12 at Georgia State University]]> Daris Hale is a musician with the Austin Symphony Orchestra, the Austin Lyric Opera and is a founding member/bassoonist/choreographer with the Wild Basin Winds quintet. In Tanzania, she was able to collaborate with East African composers from Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania to write the music of their ethnic traditions for American classical musicians in order to produce the world premieres in the composers’ homeland.

There is no charge for the workshop, and no RSVP is needed.

Fulbright campus representatives and interested faculty are encouraged to attend.
