137111 news 1340361571 1475896346 <![CDATA[Cool Insights: An Integrated Framework for Managing Standards and Operations of the Food Industry]]> Donald Ratliff, executive director of the Supply Chain & Logistics Institute (SCL), and Amar Ramudhin, director of SCL, recently co-authored the Cool Insights column for the June 2012 issue of Food Logistics, titled “An Integrated Framework for Managing Standards and Operations of the Food Industry.”  For the column, Ratliff and Ramudhin discuss the Food Integration Reference Model that is being used at the Georgia Tech Integrated Food Chain Center (IFC), and how the model provides a framework for developing and maintaining standards. 

For the past three years, faculty, staff, and partners of the Georgia Tech Supply Chain & Logistics Institute’s IFC have contributed their thoughts on various aspects of the food chain to Food Logistics Magazine under a column called Cool Insights.
