Regents\u2019 Professors of Chemistry and Biochemistry Jean-Luc Bredas and Seth Marder are serving as the event\u2019s lead organizers.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EICSM started in the mid-1970s with the advent of synthetic metals. It\u2019s now the premier venue for discussion of the latest developments in the areas of organic electronics and photonics.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThis is the first time Georgia Tech has hosted the biennial event, which returns to the United States for the first time since 1996. Experts from more than 40 countries will attend.
