{"142471":{"#nid":"142471","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Tech Students Present on T- SPLOST and Public Art July 25","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EAs Atlantans prepare to vote on the Atlanta Regional Transportation Referendum, a group of Georgia Tech students will present their own perspectives regarding the T-SPLOST in the Library this Wed., July 25.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EFrom 1:20 \u2013 3:20 p.m., Tech students in the Mass Transportation section of English 1101 will present their positions on the transportation referendum in the Georgia Tech Library\u2019s East Commons (LEC) Performance Space.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cGeorgia Tech students are well positioned to influence transportation and land use in the Atlanta region and beyond over the next century, their ideas are likely to impact many people\u0027s lives,\u201d said Dr. Lauren Curtright, who teaches the Mass Transportation section. She is a Brittan Fellow in Tech\u2019s School of Literature, Communication, and Culture.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cFrom the presentations, I think the audience will glean that Georgia Tech students are eager to help communities move toward sustainable transportation,\u201d added Curtright.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAdditionally, students in the Public Art section of English 1101 will present their service-learning projects with Living Walls and Art on the BeltLine.
