{"151311":{"#nid":"151311","#data":{"type":"event","title":"Faculty Town Hall on Open Access Policy","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EIn December 2011, the Executive Board of the Faculty Senate approved the creation of a chartered ad-hoc subcommittee of the Academic Services Committee focused on an \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/gatech.edu\/newsroom\/release.html?nid=151721\u0022\u003EOpen Access Policy\u003C\/a\u003E for scholarly publications.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe subcommittee\u0027s charter reads:\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0022The Subcommittee on Open Access will study the question of open access to faculty publications and, as appropriate, draft a Georgia Tech policy on open access publishing, taking into account the diversity of interests and concerns on the part of Georgia Tech faculty.
