WIE has a number of programs available to ensure that female students graduate with a degree in engineering. These programs include:

Mentor & Mentee: a peer mentoring program, where freshmen are matched with juniors, and sophomores with seniors. These mentoring relationships offer students a connection with an older student who offers advice, friendship and guidance.

Coffee Talk Series: These coffee talks will feature many interesting guest speakers – both female faculty members and professional women in STEM – who will be joining us to share their professional stories and their personal advice! Everything from talks on grad school applications to professional women engineers giving career advice are on the schedule for the coming year.

Excellence Awards Banquet: A benchmark program, where undergraduate female engineering students who have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher are recognized at an annual banquet. Almost half of the College’s female students qualified for the event last spring.

Scholarships: A network of approximately 24 corporate partners offers scholarships for outstanding female students. Scholarship levels have increased for each of the past successive three years by 20 percent in spite of a faltering economy.
