PAB Chair Ike Heard\u2019s letter states, \u201cAs the program has an exemplary record, the accreditation period granted is the longest term possible under current PAB rules.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe Board and its site visitors have given us valuable suggestions for enhancements that will strengthen what the site visitors referred to as a \u201cmodel of a 21st century, top tier, AAU university planning program.\u201d Some of their suggestions are the basis of changes to our school\u2019s Strategic Plan, now in development as well as curricular changes to be implemented this fall. \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.planning.gatech.edu\/sites\/files\/crp\/files\/2012%20May%2024%20GA%20Tech%20SVR.pdf\u0022\u003EView the recent site visitor\u2019s report.\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp; \u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech\u2019s Master of City Planning program first earned recognition from the National Education Committee of the American Institute of Planners (PAB\u2019s precursor) in September 1969 and was accredited by PAB when that organization began operations in 1984.
