{"177021":{"#nid":"177021","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Signups Open for Mock Interview Week","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EStudents will have a chance to practice their interviewing skills, no matter their current state, during Career Services\u2019 annual\u0026nbsp;Mock Interview Week in January.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EFrom Jan. 22\u201325, students will be able to receive feedback on their interviewing from representatives involved in the hiring process at numerous companies. Both students and employers are expected to prepare for the interview as if it were for an actual position; employers receive the resumes of students they will be interviewing in advance, and students are expected to research the company.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cWe try to make sure everyone is prepared in advance so it simulates the actual interview experience as much as possible,\u201d said Kevin Stacia, career specialist at Georgia Tech Career Services. \u201cThe format is designed so that once students complete the interview, they can ask questions and get feedback in order to prepare for the spring recruiting season.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EStudents can sign up for an interview slot through \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/careerservices.gatech.edu\/plugins\/content\/index.php?id=241\u0022\u003ECareerBuzz\u003C\/a\u003E from Dec. 15, 2012, through Jan. 15, 2013. Time slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and all interviews will take place in the Bill Moore Student Success Center, located near Tech Tower.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAt the end of the week, Career Services will partner with Capital One to host a Case Interview Preparation Workshop on Friday, Jan. 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Success Center. The workshop is limited to 50 attendees, and students may register on a first-come, first-served basis through the \u201cEvents\u201d tab in CareerBuzz. Select \u201cInformation Sessions,\u201d then \u201cCase Interview Workshop\u201d to RSVP.
