This is usually due to one\u2019s unrealistic goal setting or lack of commitment. It\u2019s always hard to change a daily routine because integrating a change into a lifestyle is tough. So how can you make these positive changes effective? How can you make a New Year\u2019s resolution that makes you feel accomplished and strong at the end of the next year? Here are some helpful, easy tips to help you set and achieve attainable goals for the next year:\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EBe realistic. \u003C\/strong\u003EWhen setting your goal, make sure it is something that must be worked for and attainable. If it\u2019s too little of a change, you\u2019re more likely to forget about it or blow it off. However, if it is too difficult, time consuming, or stressful, it\u2019s easy to become discouraged and give up.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ETake small steps. \u003C\/strong\u003ERome wasn\u2019t built in a day! Take your time in reaching your goal. Think practically about solid steps to take toward your goal in the beginning. Find ways to test yourself and set dates or checkpoints. Easing into and preparing for change will make it last much longer.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EStay encouraged. \u003C\/strong\u003ESupport from your family and friends will make all the difference! Ask them to check up on you and to push you towards your goal. However, don\u2019t forget that you are your own best advocate. Focus on what inspired you to make this New Year\u2019s resolution when you\u2019re discouraged! Trust that you had good cause to make it a goal in the first place and work hard to obtain it.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EStay strong!\u003C\/strong\u003E Make attainable resolutions that are achievable with intermediate goals. Don\u2019t expect to never fail, but never quit reaching for success.
