The State of Black Science Fiction Collective, sponsored by LMC on February 7, 2013, featured the following events:
* Short films by some of the most talented professional filmmakers of Science Fiction, Steamfunk and Fantasy!
* An amazing short film by GA-Tech Film Students!
* A Panel Discussion on Countering Negative Images of Black People in the Media!
The panel was moderated by Balogun Ojetade and Milton Davis anad included the following experts on Black science fiction:
* Donnie Leapheart, creator of the scifi thriller, "Osiris: The Series"
* Bree Newsome, creator of the horror masterpiece, "Wake"
* Terésa Dowell-Vest, creator of the science fantasy action film, "Genesis: New American Superheroes
* Tommy Bottoms, producer of the urban vampire thriller, "Eternal"
* LaRon Austin, creator of the science fiction thriller, "blackhats"
