  <title><![CDATA[Paulette Richards Awarded Fulbright in Senegal]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Former Brittain Fellow (2008-2011) and current Writing and Communication lecturer (2011-2013) Dr. Paulette Richards has just been selected as a Fulbright Fellow from Georgia Tech for 2013/2014.&nbsp;</p><p>As a Fulbright recipient, Dr. Richards joins the ranks of distinguished participants in the program who have become heads of state, judges, ambassadors, cabinet ministers, CEOs, university presidents, journalists, artists, professors and teachers. They have been awarded 43 Nobel Prizes.</p><p>Developing international understanding requires a commitment on the part of Fulbright grantees to establish open communication and long-term cooperative relationships. In that way, Fulbrighters enrich the educational, political, economic, social and cultural lives of countries around the world.</p><p>Dr. Richards, who currently serves&nbsp; Writing and Communication lecturer (2011-2013) specializing in LMC 4701 (Undergraduate Research Proposal Writing) and LMC 4702 (Undergraduate Research Thesis Writing), will continue to work with LMC's Writing and Communication Program during her Fulbright Fellowship as well as being involved in<br />the community while on her Fulbright exchange.&nbsp; As a representative of the US in Senegal, she will help fulfill the principal purpose of the Fulbright Program, which is to increase<br />mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of the more than 150 countries that currently participate in the Fulbright Program.<br /><br /><br /></p>]]></body>
