  <title><![CDATA[Brittain Fellow Publishes in Senses of Cinema]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Second-year Brittain Fellow Christopher Weedman’s essay, “<em>Notre Musique</em>: Godard’s Shot/Reverse Shot Ruminations on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict,” was published in the March 2013 issue of the online film journal <em>Senses of Cinema</em> as part of the journal’s “Cinémathèque Annotations on Film” series.</p><p>&nbsp;The essay explores French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard’s political employment of the Classical Hollywood film device of the shot/reverse shot in his 2004 French experimental film <em>Notre Musique</em> to analyze the dialectical relationship between text and image, and Israelis and Palestinians.</p><p>You can read the article at <a href="http://sensesofcinema.com/2013/cteq/notre-musique-godards-shotreverse-shot-ruminations-on-the-israeli-palestinian-conflict/">http://sensesofcinema.com/2013/cteq/notre-musique-godards-shotreverse-shot-ruminations-on-the-israeli-palestinian-conflict/</a></p><p>&nbsp;Weedman has also published articles on the films of Joseph Losey, Roman Polanski, Jerzy Skolimowski, and Howard Hawks in journals such as <em>Quarterly Review of Film and Video</em> and <em>Senses of Cinema</em>. He is currently writing a book on the film collaboration of Joseph Losey and Harold Pinter.</p>]]></body>
