202361news13643773681475896435<![CDATA[Pearson named AAAS "40 @ 40" Featured Fellow]]>Willie Pearson, professor in the School of History, Technology, and Society, has been named a featured fellow in the American Association for the Advancement of Science's (AAAS) celebration of the 40th anniversary of its Science & Technology Policy Fellowship.
To commemorate 40 years of Science & Technology Policy Fellowships, AAAS launched a 40 @ 40 initiative. Forty former fellows were selected from the more than 2,600 who have received fellowships.
Pearson was selected as the representative for the class of 1988-89. His biography and a short audio interview will be featured on the AAAS website, and he will be honored at a commemoration event on May 3.
The Science & Technology Policy Fellowships were created to provide scientists and engineers an opportunity to utilize their scientific knowledge and expertise to inform and support policy-makers.
