Using computer modeling, I characterize these responses from measured metabolic time series data.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EChanwoo Kim - Advisor, Hanjoong Jo, PhD\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u0022Anti-inflammatory and Anti-atherogenic Role of BMP Receptor II in Endothelial Cells\u0022\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003EWe found that loss of BMPRII causes endothelial inflammation and atherosclerosis by mechanisms mediated by reactive oxygen species, NFkB, and NADPH oxidases. These results suggest that BMPRII is a critical, anti-inflammatory and anti-atherogenic protein that is commonly targeted by multiple pro- and anti-atherogenic factors.
