213811 news 1369052733 1475896456 <![CDATA[Nga Lee “Sally” Ng Receives EPA STAR Early Career Award]]> Nga Lee “Sally” Ng, an assistant professor in the School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering and the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, received the Early Career Award from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as part of the Science to Achieve Results (STAR) program.

Ng won the award for her research involving anthropogenic influences on organic aerosol formation as related to regional climate. Specifically, Ng’s successful award proposal was titled, “The role of nitrate radicals (NO3) in aerosol life cycle: Secondary organic aerosol formation and aging of atmospheric organic aerosols.”

Under this announcement, the EPA anticipated awarding $2.9 million to five regular and three Early Career Award winners.
