222341 news 1373544927 1475896474 <![CDATA[Farooq Publishes Three Articles]]> Assistant Professor Nihad Farooq was the William S. Vaughn Visiting Faculty Research Fellow at Vanderbilt University for 2012-13 and participated in a year-long Sawyer Seminar composed of Vanderbilt Faculty and guest speakers from other institutions entitled "The Age of Emancipation: Black Freedom in the Atlantic World." As a result of that experience, Farooq has been busy recently, thinking, writing, and publishing about the issue of race.
