The Class of 1969 Teaching Fellows Program is designed for early career professionals who want to develop their full teaching potential. During this academic-year-long experience, the Teaching Fellows will explore various aspects of teaching and learning in weekly seminars, receive private assistance with teaching, and undertake a project to improve student learning in one of their courses.

Dr. Kim joined the ECE faculty in August 2007, where he is a member of the computer systems and software technical interest group. His research and teaching interests are in the areas of multicore designs, heterogeneous system-on-chip architectures, information-communication-media convergence systems, emerging storage architecture, and hardware-assisted security.

“When I teach, I strive to show students how what they learn in class is used in real world applications. I also try to create an interactive class experience for the students where they use the latest equipment and software, and I host guest speakers from industry who make the material come to life,” Dr. Kim said. “By participating in the CETL Teaching Fellows Program, I look forward to exploring additional ways to make the learning process even more fun and applicable for my students.”
