To do that automatically, two\u0026nbsp;pre-requisites are required: an accurate analysis of the timing and\u0026nbsp;similarity between the sequences and a dynamic \u0022time-stretch\u0022 algorithm\u0026nbsp;for matching tempo and pitch.\u0026nbsp;While this functionality is already available, it often lacks the\u0026nbsp;necessary quality in both the analysis result and the artifact-free\u0026nbsp;processing of the audio.\u0026nbsp;This presentation will outline the approaches, typical problems, and\u0026nbsp;recent developments in this area.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EBio:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAlexander Lerch works on the the design of new digital signal processing\u2028algorithms that extract information from music. Lerch received his Diplom-Ingenieur in telecommunications and his PhD in\u2028music performance analysis from the Technical University of Berlin. He\u2028 is co-founder of the company \u0022zplane\u0022 - a research-driven technology provider for the music industry. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Music at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
