  <body><![CDATA[<p><em><strong>Resiliency, Innovation &amp; Collaboration</strong></em></p><p>A lecture by Julie Hiromoto of SOM</p><p>Resiliency, Innovation &amp; Collaboration is a personal reflection on designing and executing One World Trade Center; integrating next-generation, green building design and research, at the Center for Architecture Science and Ecology; and realizing SOM’s High Performance Design goals. <br />&nbsp;<br />After graduating from Georgia Tech’s COA with a BS ARCH, Julie Hiromoto completed an MARCH at Columbia University’s GSAPP.&nbsp; She is an Associate at Skidmore, Owings &amp; Merrill and works as a Project Manager for New York and International projects, including One World Trade Center.&nbsp; Prior to joining the Management group, she was a Senior Technical Architect, focusing on exterior wall and sustainable design.&nbsp; Her previous experience, designing and implementing these systems, affords an understanding of the complexity involved in large scale projects.&nbsp; Julie leads SOMNY’s High Performance Design initiative and the SOM Sustainable Knowledge Network.&nbsp; She also teaches at New York University’s Shack Institute of Real Estate.&nbsp; An active member of the NYC green building community, Julie was invited to sit on the Urban Green Council’s Programs Committee.&nbsp; She is a licensed architect and LEED accredited professional.</p>]]></body>
