240071 external_news 1380038970 1475893600 In Creative Loafing's Best of Atlanta 2013 picks, the staff selected the School of City and Regional Planning's Northside Drive Corridor Study as the "Best Vision for Atlanta's West Side." The study, led by Professor Mike Dobbins, created "A beautiful vision of transit, mixed-use development, and walkable environments that could improve Northside Drive. Among the proposals: starting bus rapid transit, turning the reservoir along Howell Mill Road into a park, and promoting dense, mixed-income developments."  Central Atlanta Progress, the Midtown Alliance, City Hall, and Georgia Department of Transportation all co-sponsored the study.
