In that context, the Consulates General of France in Houston and in Atlanta are organizing a 2-days meeting between PhD students enrolled in a US university and in a French university. The seminar whose focus will be on chemical analysis at the nanoscale will take place in Toulouse, France, mid-March 2014. This meeting will provide the opportunity to US and French PhD students to share scientific results in a very informal setting. Besides, four (4) lectures of well-known French researchers in the field will be also proposed to the PhD students. Moreover, the seminar will be followed by the visit of 3 state-of-the-art French characterization centers: the Cemes, the Néel Institute and the Minatec innovation campus.

Furthermore, thanks to the generous support of the OST, eight (8) scholarships to attend this meeting will be awarded to PhD students enrolled in a US university. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of a call to candidacy. The laureates will be granted a one-week scientific trip to France.
