This talk will compare these successful companies with the average company, and highlight one cornerstone of their success\u2014the development process. David Newman will talk about a model development process that the best companies are using in order to have quicker, more successful new product launches.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003ESpeaker Bio:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EDavid Newman is an engineering consultant at The Coca-Cola Company working in Global Innovation. He has had a 25+ year career in the arena of new product development. With a background in digital\/analog and embedded design, Newman has worked at four different companies in various capacities over his career. Starting out, Newman worked as a designer\/programmer on marine navigational equipment. He was also involved with new product development for the military. He has worked with The Coca-Cola Company for over 12 years as a project manager\/technical lead on several new products in the areas of vending and\u003Cbr \/\u003Efountain dispensing equipment.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003ENewman obtained a B.S.E.E. from the University of Rhode Island and an M.S.E.E. from Georgia Tech. He holds 10 patents in the area of fountain dispensing equipment.
