Most projections over the next 100 years estimate a 1-meter (3.3 feet) rise in sea levels along the eastern coast of the United States.  The previous studio demonstrated how this change could impact vulnerable populations within Georgia's coastal communities.  The current studio builds on this work be researching the disruption SLR could cause to one of Georgia's most significant economic development engines, the Port of Savannah.  In addition, the class looked at the small town of Darien to better understand how traditional economies, reliant on commercial fishing, tourism and real estate may be impacted by Sea Level Rise in the future.
