But in 2013, that number jumped significantly.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cIn 2013, we had nearly 95 percent of our benefits-eligible population participate by visiting TechWorks to change or confirm their elections,\u201d said Brandon Conkle, director of Total Rewards in the Office of Human Resources. \u201cTo have that many people take an active role in participating in the enrollment process is incredible, and it sets the stage for everyone to have a better experience in 2014 because they took the time to look at the offerings and make the choices that best fit them.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EHere are a few other facts about this year\u2019s OE:\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E1,011 calls were received by the helpline during the OE period.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E330 employees selected smoker status, which is an increase from the 2012 plan enrollment.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E551 people enrolled in the new ID Theft protection program.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003C\/ul\u003E\u003Cp\u003EBenefits confirmation statements for OE elections are now available to faculty and staff via \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/techworks.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003ETechWorks\u003C\/a\u003E. After logging in, select Benefits Home in the Employee Self-Service box. Select Print Confirmation Statement, and benefit elections for 2014 will be displayed.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u201cCards for medical plans have already started arriving in people\u2019s homes, and cards for the other plans should be coming very shortly,\u201d Conkle said. \u201cSo everyone should be on the lookout for them.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EQuestions?
