It's worse than the wait to get to the front of the checkout line at Trader Joe's – there at least the endgame is within sight. ... <strong>Kari&nbsp;</strong><strong>Watkins (CEE)</strong> and Brian Ferris developed the transit-tracking app&nbsp;<a href="http://onebusaway.org/">OneBusAway</a>, which provides real-time arrival information for buses and trains in Seattle, New York, Atlanta, and Tampa. Its first users were in the Seattle area, and Watkins and Ferris found in their visits that people who relied on the app were much more accurate in estimating how long they had to wait for the bus.
