Scientists study spiral waves because they form a mathematical solution to different models used to study nature. These rules can be applied to crowds of people yet, surprisingly, no one has attempted to make a large scale human spiral wave!

Participants will pack into a grid formation on Tech Green
1.Your basic state is standing with your hands down (deactivation).
2.If your nearest neighbors has their hands, raise yours (activation).
3.After raising your hands up, you lower them again (deactivation).
4.Continually monitor your neighbors to activate or deactivate.
5.Only raise your hands when your nearest neighbors do, not before!

We will indicate who should start off raising their hands.
