In this exhibit, explore selections from these beautiful portfolios.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EPortfolios included in the exhibition:\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/portfolios.handpapermaking.org\/no1\/index.htm\u0022\u003EDesign and Pattern in Decorated Papers: Wet and Dry Techniques\u003C\/a\u003E (1994) Twenty-one juried papers--some by individual artists, some collaborative efforts--demonstrate techniques applied to the paper surface or inherent in the paper pulp. Based on historic traditions with a contemporary dynamic, the methods employed include marbling, paste paper, pulp painting, embossing, embedding, dyeing, pigmenting, and others difficult to categorize.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/portfolios.handpapermaking.org\/no6\/index.htm\u0022\u003EInnovative Printmaking on Handmade Paper\u003C\/a\u003E (2004) Numerous printmaking methods are represented in this portfolio, some traditional, some contemporary, some unquestionably innovative. Techniques include etching, woodblock, chine coll\u00e9, linocut, digital inkjet, silkscreen, monotype, lithography, pochoir, aquatint, and letterpress. The handmade paper is inherent in the artwork, including watermarking, pulp painting, double couching, and overbeating.\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/portfolios.handpapermaking.org\/no7\/index.htm\u0022\u003EThe Art of Pulp Painting \u003C\/a\u003E(2006) Pulp paintings are created using specially prepared pulps applied to a fresh base layer of paper.
