Randy Engle, professor in Georgia Tech\u0027s School of Psychology, speaks about how the cultural and biological aspects of human intelligence differ from each other and even change over a lifetime. He\u0027ll talk about how biologically-based intelligence, known as fluid intelligence, is involved in our ability to pay attention and resist distractions. He\u0027ll also discuss how fluid intelligence is heritable, yet depends also to a great extent on socio-economic status.
