  <title><![CDATA[Chinese Friendship Association Hosts Resume and COOP/Internship Sessions]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>On Thursday, January 15<sup>th</sup>, the Chinese Friendship Association hosted a resume workshop for Chinese F and J students. The guest speakers were Robbie Ouzts, Graduate Career Advisor, and Meg Popick, International Student Advisor. Around 50 students participated in the event. The students were provided a short demonstration on the intercultural aspects of resume writing and how the cultural values inherent to the U.S and China impact the format and content of a resume. This was followed by an explanation of career development and tips on writing a resume. Finally, students had the opportunity to provide their peers feedback on sample resumes they brought to the session.</p><p>Chinese Friendship Association has planned a second event for Chinese students which will take place on Tuesday, January 20<sup>th</sup> from 7:15pm to 9pm in the Student Success Center Clary Theater. This session will focus on obtaining a COOP or internship in the U.S. and the proper work authorization for positions. The speakers will be Ken Little, Assistant Director of Graduate COOP Program and Meg Popick, International Student Advisor.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>]]></body>
