On February 21st Jonah Bokaer returns with "Why Patterns," a piece that begins with a single ping-pong ball that triggers four dancers and hundreds of balls dropping in controlled chaos. The performance piece is a collaboration between choreographer Bokaer and Snarkitecture, a creative studio founded by artist Daniel Arsham and architect Alex Mustonen. The evening also features Bokaer's "Recess." Bokaer, a resident artist at Georgia Tech, has cultivated a new form of choreography whose structural supports rely on visual art and design to transform public viewing and understanding of dance.
