380901 news 1424690330 1475895710 <![CDATA[Klieman Speaks On Middle East Identity]]> On February 16, 2015, the Center for International Strategy, Technology, and Policy (CISTP) hosted a talk by Professor Aharon Klieman of Tel Aviv University. Nunn School Assistant Professor Lawrence Rubin served as moderator and provided introductory remarks. Klieman’s talk, titled “The Search for Identity: Between Tribalism and ‘Middle Easternism” was a discussion of evolving conceptions of identity in the Middle East.

Aharon Klieman is the Dr. Nahum Goldmann Professor Emeritus in Diplomatic Studies at Tel Aviv University, and Founding Director of the Abba Eban Graduate Program in Diplomatic Studies. He has authored numerous books and articles, is the editor of The Israel Journal of Foreign Affairs, and represents Israel abroad at international conferences. Dr. Klieman holds a doctorate from John Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies and a M.A. in Middle Eastern Politics from Columbia University.
