{"386131":{"#nid":"386131","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Luettgen begins term as TAPPI chairman","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003ERBI Associate Director Chris Luettgen recently took his seat as Chair of the Technological Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry (TAPPI) during the organization\u0027s centennial celebration in April.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe Board consists of the Chair, Vice Chair, President\/CEO and nine Directors who determine the policies and have general charge of the affairs of the Association.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0022I am very honored to have been selected to lead the board of this organization,\u0022 Luettgen said.\u0026nbsp;\u201cI am the fourth generation in a family that has worked and thrived in the paper industry, and I am very proud to be a member of TAPPI, just as my father was before me. It is an exciting time in the pulp and\u0026nbsp;paper arena, full of both challenges and opportunities. I look forward to serving with this talented group of board members as TAPPI builds upon its first 100 years of leadership and\u0026nbsp;ingenuity.\u0022\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;Paul Durocher of Sappi Fine Paper North America will serve as TAPPI Vice Chair for two years beginning in April 2015.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ELuettgen is also a professor of the practice in the School of Chemical \u0026amp; Biomolecular Engineering and director of the Georgia Tech Professional Education Industry Strategic Partnerships\/Professional Masters in Manufacturing Leadership.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EMedwick V. Byrd, North Carolina State University, Anitra Collins, International Paper, and Marko Hakovirta, Stora Enso AB, will begin three-year terms in April 2015.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe following individuals will continue to serve on the TAPPI Board: Peter R.
