She has lead corporate finance, investor relations, strategic \u0026amp; operational planning, business development, regulatory and reimbursement. Her expertise is at the intersection of business, science and medicine, bringing together different areas of expertise required to improve patient care and drive economic growth through innovative medical technology.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EKarp speaks on topics related to medical device innovation and commercialization and serves as a Member of the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE) at the US Department of Commerce.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EThe Global Center for Medical Innovation (GCMI) is the Southeast\u2019s first and only comprehensive medical device innovation center, dedicated to accelerating development, building businesses and improving health.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EGCMI\u2019s core team of designers and engineers collaborate closely with startups, clinicians, researchers, new product development teams and medtech entrepreneurs to accelerate time to market while reducing costs.
