{"396161":{"#nid":"396161","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Board of Regents Sets 2015-16 Tuition Rates","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe University System of Georgia Board of Regents (BOR) approved tuition rates for the 2015-16 academic year at its April 14 meeting at Georgia Gwinnett College.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EThe BOR approved a 9 percent increase in Georgia Tech\u2019s in-state undergraduate tuition, or an additional $404 per semester, bringing it to $4,905 per semester for next year. Out-of-state tuition will increase by 6 percent, or an additional $849, amounting to $15,002 per semester.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EFor graduate students, in-state tuition will increase by 9 percent, but includes a $100 shift from the Special Institutional Fee (SIF). In-state tuition next year will be $6,726 per semester. For out-of-state graduate students, tuition will increase by about 1 percent and also includes a $100 shift from the SIF, bringing it to $13,936 per semester.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAll other mandatory fees for Georgia Tech students will remain the same next year. Georgia Tech has requested that the SIF be reduced by $100 each of the next five years until the fee is eventually eliminated for graduate students.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech continues to be acknowledged as one of the best investments in higher education.
