On January 11, 2016, GTCROSSROADS will be launched, providing better access to research and administration tools. GTCrossroads is an updated version of WebWISE and the OSP Contract Information System – plus more research administration systems.
My Research Portal, which is being integrated into GTCrossroads and re-branded as My Pages, provides a quick customizable look into the data needed to support research administration activities.
My Tasks offers a comprehensive and quick view of all tasks that are awaiting your action in the research administration domain (My Actions). It will also display items you have asked to be done (My Requests). This information is pulled from various systems and links are provided for convenient and direct access to the relevant sites.
Apps connects you to the tools and systems that help you perform your research administration tasks. The icon-based design will only show you the tools and systems that are applicable to you. WebWISE will be available as an app.
Services links you to key services which support research administration activities. You can see all of the systems that are available to you by way of a service catalog (I want to do "x".) This is especially useful when you are not sure which app is needed to achieve your objectives.
Reports provides easy access to reports pulled from across campus to aid you in effective research administration.
Beginning January 11, you can access the new portal by going to gtcrossroads.gatech.edu. GTCrossroads will also be embedded in WebWISE and available through TechWorks.
Open demo/classroom sessions are being conducted to introduce the new features of the system. You do not need to register for these sessions. The open demo/classroom format allows you to stop by at any point during the session to ask questions and learn about the system.
