The professor of the practice will support the strategic mission of the Renewable Bioproducts Institute and, through the graduate academic program, enter into collaboration with the Schools of Chemical \u0026amp; Biomolecular Engineering, Materials Science \u0026amp; Engineering, Chemistry \u0026amp; Biochemistry, and Mechanical Engineering. A joint appointment is possible. The candidate should have significant knowledge of pulp \u0026amp; paper related technologies and have contributed to advances in the field of biorefining. The Professor of the Practice is a non-tenure track position designated for qualified academic, business, or government leaders. Qualifications and expectations for this position include a substantial base of experience and a national\/international reputation for excellence, and must be able to serve as liaison between industry or government and the Institute in identifying teaching and research opportunities. The candidate must hold a PhD in a relevant engineering or scientific field. Successful candidates will be capable of developing nationally-recognized research programs in a collaborative environment that emphasizes industrially oriented research and contributes to the School\u2019s history of educational excellence.
