Established in 1983, the TAPPI Joachim Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor TAPPI can bestow upon an individual for exemplary leadership that has significantly contributed to the advancement of TAPPI.\u0026nbsp; The award will be presented at TAPPI\u2019s annual meeting this spring.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EGeorgia Tech President Bud Peterson sent Dr. Dugal a message of congratulations, noting \u201cThis is well-deserved recognition of your many accomplishments and all you have done for the world\u2019s pulp, paper, board, and forest product industries and for Georgia Tech.\u201d\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EDr. Dugal was also praised by Harry Spiegelberg, President of the Paper Industry Hall of Fame.\u0026nbsp; He echoed President Peterson\u2019s remarks saying, \u201c[I]ndeed, I among many people in the Fox River Valley are very proud of Doug\u0027s many contributions.
