  <title><![CDATA[Dean Royster Joins World Affairs Council of Atlanta]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Ivan Allen College Dean <a href="http://www.iac.gatech.edu/faculty-and-staff/staff/royster" target="_blank">Jacqueline J. Royster</a> joined the Board of Directors of the <a href="http://wacatl.robinson.gsu.edu/" target="_blank">World Affairs Council of Atlanta</a> on June 15. The council provides a forum for dialogue, a source of expertise, and an engine for research on international issues affecting Atlanta. The board is comprised of corporate, academic, and civic leaders.</p><p><a href="http://wacatl.robinson.gsu.edu/event/">Past programs</a> have included working with young leaders in Atlanta, holding discussions on foreign affairs, and engaging in inter-faith dialogue.</p><p>The council's <a href="http://wacatl.robinson.gsu.edu/about/">mission </a>is defined as follows:</p><blockquote><p>The World Affairs Council of Atlanta is the premier convener on international topics that affect Atlanta and the world. Our mission is to provide a forum for dialogue, a source of expertise, and an engine for research on the international issues that matter to Atlanta. We are a non-partisan, membership and grant supported organization dedicated to enhancing our community’s understanding of the world&nbsp;─ locally, nationally, and globally.</p></blockquote><p>Holding events year-round, the council stays actively involved with local and global communities.</p>]]></body>
