{"423441":{"#nid":"423441","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Atri Dutta, AE PhD \u002709, Appointed Assistant Professor at Wichita State University","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp class=\u0022rtecenter\u0022\u003E\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAtri Dutta is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Princeton University.\u0026nbsp; He obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the School of Aerospace Engineering, Georgia Tech in 2005 and 2009, respectively, under the guidance of Professor Panagiotis Tsiotras.\u0026nbsp; Before joining Georgia Tech in the Fall of 2003, Atri completed his B. Tech in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 2002.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EDuring his doctoral studies, he developed a multi-disciplinary optimization framework to determine optimal cooperative and non-cooperative Peer-to-Peer maneuvers for refueling multiple satellites in circular constellations.\u0026nbsp; After his Ph.D., he was a Research Engineer at Georgia Tech and investigated new multilevel conflict resolution strategies for En Route air traffic.\u0026nbsp; At Princeton, he developed an optimization methodology to minimize satellite solar array degradation in the Van Allen radiation belts during electric orbit-raising.\u0026nbsp; He is currently investigating design of power and propulsion subsystems for all-electric telecommunications satellites.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAtri will be joining the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Wichita State University, as an Assistant Professor in Spring 2014.\u0026nbsp; His research interests are in the areas of optimal control, mixed-integer programming, space dynamics, mission design, optimization of aerospace systems and operations.\u003C\/p\u003E","summary":null,"format":"limited_html"}],"field_subtitle":"","field_summary":"","field_summary_sentence":[{"value":"Atri will be joining the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Wichita State University, as an Assistant Professor in Spring 2014."}],"uid":"27456","created_gmt":"2015-07-09 14:22:12","changed_gmt":"2016-10-08 03:19:00","author":"Britanny Grace","boilerplate_text":"","field_publication":"","field_article_url":"","dateline":{"date":"2013-09-06T00:00:00-04:00","iso_date":"2013-09-06T00:00:00-04:00","tz":"America\/New_York"},"extras":[],"groups":[{"id":"1239","name":"School of Aerospace Engineering"}],"categories":[{"id":"134","name":"Student and Faculty"}],"keywords":[{"id":"2082","name":"aerospace engineering"},{"id":"133811","name":"Atri Dutta"}],"core_research_areas":[],"news_room_topics":[],"event_categories":[],"invited_audience":[],"affiliations":[],"classification":[],"areas_of_expertise":[],"news_and_recent_appearances":[],"phone":[],"contact":[],"email":["communications@ae.gatech.edu"],"slides":[],"orientation":[],"userdata":""}}}
