{"423551":{"#nid":"423551","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Institute Diversity\u2019s Julie Ancis Elected to Fellow Status of APA Division","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EJulie Ancis, associate vice president of Institute Diversity, was recently elected to Fellow Status of the American Psychological Association (APA) in Division 35: Society for the Psychology of Women for outstanding contributions with respect to scholarly publications and impact in the psychology of women. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EIn 2011, she was elected Fellow of APA in Division 17: Society of Counseling Psychology. To achieve Fellow Status, APA members must meet a number of criteria including active engagement in the advancement of psychology and evidence of outstanding contribution or performance in the field of psychology.\u0026nbsp; \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAncis has published and presented extensively in the area of racial and gender attitudes, multicultural competence, university climate, and women\u2019s legal experiences. She is the author of several books, including \u003Cem\u003EThe Complete Women\u2019s Psychotherapy Treatment Planner\u003C\/em\u003E, \u003Cem\u003ECulturally Responsive Interventions: Innovative Approaches to Working with Diverse Populations\u003C\/em\u003E, and \u003Cem\u003EPromoting Student Learning and Student Development at a Distance: Student Affairs Concepts and Practices for Televised Instruction and Other Forms of Distance Learning\u003C\/em\u003E. Ancis is currently working on a co-edited text about women and girls in the legal system with NYU Press.
