  <title><![CDATA[PhD Student Matthew Gross Awarded Best Student Paper]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p class="rtecenter"></p><p>Matthew Gross, a doctoral student in AE working under the supervision of Prof. Mark Costello, was the winner of the Best Student Paper Award for the 2013 Atmospheric Flight Mechanics Conference held from August 19-22 in Boston, MA for his paper titled "Impact Point Model Predictive Control of a Spin-Stabilized Projectile with Instability Protection."</p><p>The award is sponsored by the AIAA Atmospheric Flight Mechanics (AFM) Technical Committee and recognizes high-quality papers whose primary author is a student. In addition to the award certificate, Matt received a cash prize and was recognized at the conference awards luncheon.</p>]]></body>
