You will receive the new version when a change is made to your I-20, such as a change of major, request for OPT, updated financial information, etc. All students must have the new version by July 2016 so if a change has not been made on your I-20 by this date, OIE will ensure that you have a copy of the new version.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EWhile there are some changes to the new I-20, the included information has not changed significantly, and the new look should have no or limited impact when you\u2019re applying for benefits such as a driver\u2019s license or social security number.
