  <body><![CDATA[<h4 align="center"><strong>Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis Technique and Applications:<br />Direct Visualization for Size, Count, and Fluorescence Characterization</strong></h4><p align="center">Ragy Ragheb Ph.D.<br />Technical Specialist –NanoSight<br /><a href="mailto:ragy.ragheb@malvern.com">ragy.ragheb@malvern.com</a></p><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) is a novel technique for direct visualization and analysis of sub-micron particles in suspension, providing high-resolution size distributions, number based count and concentration information and the abilitiy to work under fluorescence mode. The NTA technique combines the speed and statistical validity of traditional light scattering techniques with the resolution and sensitivity of microscopy techniques. This presentation will review the theoretical basis for this new technique, giving example applications and data, and comparisons to other techniques.</p><p><strong>Bio:</strong> Ragy Ragheb is a Technical Specialist at Malvern Instruments specializing in products using the NTA technique. Ragy received his Ph.D., from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and completed his post-doctoral work at Yale University’s Department of Biomedical Engineering, where he developed a range of particle-based systems for therapeutic delivery and diagnostic applications as well as a magnetically separable carbon-nanotube-polymer nanoparticle hybrid system for immunotherapy. These and other projects have developed a proficiency in real-world applications for particle characterization techniques and research.</p>]]></body>
