One Hundred Years of Architectural Education at Georgia Tech

How has the teaching of architecture evolved at Georgia Tech - from it's Beaux Arts beginnings, through its Bauhaus-inspired teachings to the professionalization of the curriculum? Where is it headed next? Four of the College's most-published faculty will offer short histories chronicling our legacy and speculating about its impact on our future. The talks will be followed by a reception opening the third and final installment of the exhibition 'A Century of Architectural Education at Georgia Tech', curated by Professor Elizabeth Meredith Dowling (Arch 1971) and Lisa M. Thomason (Arch 2008). Drawn from the archives of student work, this part of the exhibition focuses on the work from 1973-2008.
